Euro pallets bearing the EPAL mark, since 1 January 2010, must undergo ISPM 15 heat treatment, confirmed by the IPPC stamp (fumigation), with a moisture content not exceeding 22%. This treatment ensures the pallets are safe for international transport and compliant with phytosanitary regulations.
EPAL (European Pallet Association) is the organization that certifies Euro pallets – only licensed manufacturers and repair companies are allowed to produce pallets with the EPAL marking, in accordance with the EN 13698-1 standard.
